Question: What program run by the Vancouver International Children’s Festival helps schools attend the Festival?
Over the past twelve years more than 30,000 children from school districts across the Lower Mainland have attended the Festival thanks to the generosity of corporate, foundation and individual donors. Each $1,200 donation provides return transportation, tickets to a featured show and all-day access to our creative arts activities for an elementary school group.
On April 30, 2016, the 4th Trivia Night event benefiting the Vancouver International Children’s Festival took place. To date, the event has raised $27,694.55 since its inception in October 2014!
And the recent Trivia Night was no different. The event raised over $7,800 in one evening for Adopt a Class which allows 6 high needs classes to attend the Festival this year. In other words, 240 kids will be given a day filled with inspiration, learning and laughter!
